Big Brother Recap – Episode 1 – Season 13
**SPOILER ALERT FOR WEST COAST VIEWERS**
The first episode began as Julie spoke to the first eight house guests standing in front of the house. She explained Double Trouble and that previous Dynamic Duos from previous seasons would be returning to the Big Brother House.
Eight complete strangers think they will play as individuals – but will be paired up with another contestant.
The houseguests this season are:
Dominic- drives - motorcycles and lives with his mom. He is looking for someone to take care of him in the Big Brother Cassie – southern tomboy – country music and beer lover.
Keith – youth minister – but likes women a lot.
Shelly – vice president of hunting and fishing company.
Adam – music inventory manager -doesn’t like people who bash their religion down their throat.
Kalia – writes relationship blog.
Porsche is a VIP waitress and says she is the hottest girl everywhere she goes.
The first four in the house were Porsche, Domenic, Lawon, and Shelly. The second group to enter the house is Cassie, Adam, Kalia and Keith.
The houseguests were confused about there being eight of them in the Big Brother House, but everything about the house says there are 12 house guests. The think there will be others joining, but are not sure who they would be.
The guests sit in the living room and introduce themselves:
Keith says he is a matchmaker.
Adam says he is a metal head.
Shelly is married and a mom.
Kalia writes a dating, sex and relationship column.
Dominic is a college student model.
Porsche tells the group that she is a student, but is really VIP cocktail waitress
Lawon says he loves to have fun
Cassie indicates she is interning as a stylist assistant but tells the audience in diary room, that she is really a model.
Julie then advised there will be three more duos from past seasons joining the big brother house. She also indicated that the winner of head of household will be safe for the week, but they have to nominate one duo, meaning two people. Each of these people have to campaign against one another to stay in the game.
The Duos are Shelly and Cassie, Domenic and Adam, Kalia and Lawon, Porsche and Keith, leaving Kalia and Porsche unhappy with their matchups.
Doorbell rings.
Rachel and Brendan enter the house. They are engaged, and have been together for a year and a half.
Jeff and Jordan enter the house. Jordan said they have been together for a year and nine months, with some help from Jeff.
Last, but not least, Evil Dick and Danielle join the group. Danielle has dark hair, but Evil Dick looks much the same as the season he won. They advise that they have not spoken to one another for three years.
The HOH Comp was a Jungle Competition called Going Bananas. Each duo had to hang onto their banana as long as possible. The last one holding the banana wins hoh with their partner. Chocolate poured on them while hanging from bananas. Shelley went down first. Jordan is second down, then Keith, Cassie, Lawon, Adam, Jeff, Domenic, Brendan, Kalia and Porsche. Dick and Danielle make a deal with Rachel that they will fall off and Rachel will not nominate them.Dick jumps off the banana, but Danielle stays on a bit longer and then jumps.
Julie revealed a new twist and advised that the nomination will be both a blessing and a curse. Big Brother’s Golden Key guarantees contestants stay in the game for first four weeks, or until there are only ten people remaining. Anyone who survives eviction in the first four weeks cannot be nominated but they will be able to vote for eviction. In other words, if Dick and Danielle are nominated, and Dick gets booted, Danielle will be safe until there are only 10 people left in the game.It may prove to be an interesting season. I am disappointed Will wasn’t brought back.
